The Arboretum was a time to remember. It's a great place to walk your dog. The Arboretum has just about every type of tree, flower, and weed imaginable. A great place to observe nature and all of its glory while sitting on hand made benches placed along the trails. I especially love the maze-like structure. The trees are even numbered according to a map of the arboretum to depict the species. The Arboretum even has an OLD COLONIAL house on the premises that you can tour. They even have old artifacts that you can look at. I love the Arboretum and I can't wait to go back.

There's tons of different things to do while in Chesapeake, but I highly recommend going to the BEACH!! Only a short drive from Chesapeake, the Virginia Beach was as clean as could be! And after you're done hanging around the beautiful sands of the East Coast, you can pop over to one of the other activities going on! Go-carts, waterparks, and a fantasic Marine Center and Aquarium!! All within walking distance!

Chesapeake Jubilee

This is the biggest event of the year in Chesapeake and we never miss it. It's usually well organized and a fun time for my family. They are charging an admission this year but it's only $1 and for that you get to see major bands play. There's the usual carnival rides and food stalls, etc, but they put on the best fireworks all year in this area. Look forward to it every year!!
